Description

- The instrument is designed to measure the adhesion value of coatings in compliance with ISO 16276-2 and ASTM D 3359.

- Adhesion tester consist of a flat steel plate with normalized slits, which is used as a template to perform incisions with the knife.

Application

The adhesion plate is placed on the test surface, the coating is cut with the knife up to the substrate, after which the plate is rotated and performed the second cut 30 degrees to the first in the form of an X (X-cut). Incisions are cleaned with a brush or with adhesive tape, after that, the adhesion value is visually evaluated according to the point system.
