High sampling rate, GL980 designs input signal channels to be isolated from each other to protect the signal from interruption due to interference from other channels. A 16-bit A/D converter is used to achieve high-speed and high-resolution measurements.

Long-term data recording is possible with 4 M sampling/ch RAM and 4 GB built-in Flash memory. The device supports both USB Flash memory and SD Card memory as external storage devices.
