EMIN deploys the Roche cobas 5800 automated PCR testing system at central-level medical facilities.

12/31/2025 09:36:53

Before the end of the year, EMIN completed the deployment of the Roche Diagnostics cobas 5800 automated PCR testing system for a central-level medical unit, serving molecular biology testing and epidemiological surveillance.

Significance of implementation at the central healthcare level.

Real-time PCR testing places high demands on process consistency, especially when sample volumes increase rapidly in each stage. Manual operation models are prone to discrepancies between sample runs, heavily reliant on the individual experience of the technician.

Automated PCR solutions aim to control the entire test process chain on a single system. This approach helps maintain a consistent process structure, limiting deviations arising from disparate processing steps.

Integrated architecture of the Roche cobas 5800 system

The Cobas 5800 is a fully automated real-time PCR system that integrates sample processing, nucleic acid extraction, biosignal amplification, and result analysis on a single platform. This design reduces the number of manual interventions throughout the testing process.

The system supports processing multiple samples in parallel, making it suitable for laboratories with frequent sample runs. Result data is centrally managed, facilitating monitoring, storage, and retrieval for professional use.

Significance of implementation at the central healthcare level.

Central-level medical facilities typically receive large volumes of samples with diverse testing objectives. The introduction of the cobas 5800 contributes to expanding PCR testing capacity while reducing the manual workload for technical staff.

The system meets the testing needs for diagnosis, molecular biology research, and epidemiological surveillance, and is suitable for laboratory environments requiring strict control procedures.

EMIN participated in the deployment by providing equipment and coordinating the handover according to the configuration suitable for the actual needs of the laboratory. The deployment focused on ensuring the system's readiness immediately after handover, guaranteeing that it met the professional requirements.

The widespread adoption of wideband semiconductor components such as SiC and GaN in photovoltaic inverters, motor drives, and automotive charging systems has driven the switching frequency and power density of three-phase inverters to unprecedented levels. However, this development has also brought with it severe measurement challenges: high voltages, intense electromagnetic interference, and the requirement for ultra-fast switching signal capture at the nanosecond scale
