Introduction:
BEVS Buchholz Indentation Tester can be used to evaluate of indentation resistance of plastic deformable coatings. It is placed onto the specimen surface under a constant test load (500g) provided by a block tester, move the tester after 30 seconds, there is a trace left and then measure via a 20 x magnification illuminated microscope. The coating hardness is indicated by the length of the indentation mark.
